On this day last year, at the very same time, we were flying from Lyon to London, and thus starting our long journey. Twelve months later, we still are travelling!
Quatre mois n’auront pas suffi pour voir tout ce que l’Asie a a offrir, mais on a decouvert un univers nouveau, et maintenant qu’on est de retour dans le monde occidental -en Australie-, on se rend compte que ca nous a un peu change, et en tout cas c’est amusant de noter toutes ces differences qui ont fait notre quotidien.
On a donc essaye de lister et commenter les particularites de l’Asie qui nous ont marquees !

We are Kathyrn and Roland
We decided to travel around the world starting in May 2009; you’ll find our story on this weblog!
We have already travelled quite a bit together, in Canada and in France, and we always got along fine…
At some point we decided to go a bit further, and got married last year… And we still get along fine!
So, it appeared to us that we’d never be readier than now to travel a whole year together, around the world ;-)
The articles of this blog can be either in French or English; most of them are NOT translated in both languages. Only a few pages and the theme are translated.
About Kath:
Kath is from Saltspring Island, British Columbia,Canada but has been living in Lyon, France for the past 3 years, learning French, teaching English and eating cheese.
Kath likes (in no particular order): hiking, camping, the ocean, pretending she is a professional photographer, Pitchoune, baking bread, BC’s west coast, Scotland, deer, funny Franglish words
About Roland:
Roland, 30, is from Lyon, France, where he’s been working for the past 3 years as an IT manager.
What Roland likes: meeting new people, wine, good food, spending time with his friends, (litterally) going to the bottom of things, seeing the best in everyone, believing that he can change the world, chocolate.
What Roland doesn’t like: fennel, jogging, inactivity, French movies, people who stay on the middle lane on the highway.
